ACS President's Events
One key duty of the ACS president is to represent the Society at special events. Many of these are ACS related -- national, regional, local section, or division meetings -- but there are also invitations to anniversaries, inaugurations, and other special events at academic institutions, societies, and various other organizations. And, increasingly, the president is asked to represent the Society in other venues such as the media and visits to federal and state policy makers.
